Lush greenery and fresh air make this season perfect for rich and refreshing wedding photos. For this shoot, we visited two beautiful locations: Takaragaike Park, located south of central Kyoto, and Chishaku-in Temple in the Higashiyama area.
Takaragaike Park
Located in Kyoto Sakyo-ku, Takaragaike Park is a lush, nature-rich public park.
Featuring a small artificial pond built during the Edo period and quiet walking trails, it’s an ideal spot for Western-style wedding photography.
Enjoy a peaceful shoot while surrounded by fresh forest air.

Chishaku-in Temple
Chishaku-in is a historic temple located in the popular Higashiyama district of Kyoto. It’s known for its seasonal flowers and traditional Japanese scenery.
Please note that kimono-clad visitors are not allowed to enter the temple grounds for worship. If you wish to take wedding photos here, advance permission from the temple is required. La-vie Factory, a pioneer in Japanese wedding photography, can arrange this on your behalf.

The Bride’s Look: Traditional White Kimono (Shiromuku)
The bride wore shiromuku, a traditional pure white kimono symbolizing purity and sacredness in Japanese weddings. Often worn during Shinto or Buddhist ceremonies, shiromuku is considered the most formal bridal kimono.
The kimono featured crane patterns, a symbol of good fortune and lasting marriage in Japanese culture.
Her makeup was done in soft orange tones, perfectly matching the fresh greenery of early summer.
The hairstyle featured a mix of traditional wataboshi (bridal hood) and modern braided cords for a look that blends tradition and trend.
