Okayama, a land of sunny skies where idyllic scenery and humanities and art coexist
Okayama Prefecture, located in the southern part of Japan’s main island, is known as the “Land of Sunny Days” for its “sunny days”, “mild climate and few natural disasters”, and “many delicious foods and natural beauty”.
This is not only the entrance to the Seto Inland Sea, but also known as the birthplace of the legend of Momotaro.
Okayama is home to Japan’s famous Korakuen and the ancient Kurashiki Bikan Historical Area, and most of the prefecture still retains its idyllic scenery, rich in fruits and seafood, and is home to a handful of famous art museums.
All of this makes it the best place to feel the people and enjoy the Japanese countryside.
