A Hazy World Beneath Mount Fuji Amid Heavy Snowfall

Pre-weddingSnowTokyo

In March, at the foothills of Mount Fuji, continuous snowfall reveals a landscape completely different from that of clear days.
Visibility decreases, outlines soften, and the scenery no longer emphasizes distant landmarks, instead returning to the atmosphere of the present moment itself.
In this environment, kimono photography feels more like a delicate record of “snow” and “presence.”

Mount Fuji! Where Is It?

Heavy cloud cover and dense snowfall caused Mount Fuji to disappear entirely from view, leaving only snow-filled air and a quiet world wrapped in white.

The platforms and railway tracks were covered with snow that had yet to melt.
As trains arrived and departed, fine snow was stirred into the air, creating a strong sense of place and immediacy.

Oishi Park

This is where Mount Fuji would normally appear in all its power and presence.
The lakeside paths, vegetation, and railings were buried under thick layers of snow, greatly diminishing their original colors.
Distant scenery became blurred by the snowfall, naturally simplifying the visual layers and placing the kimono-clad subject at the center of attention.

Mount Fuji was no longer the main subject of the frame, and at times, it was not visible at all.
Precisely because of this, the snow itself became the core element of the imagery.
The continuously falling snow, the depth of accumulation on the ground, and the footprints left behind all became essential details that shape the scene.

Regardless of the weather, our photographers adjust the pace of each shoot according to the conditions.
While prioritizing safety and comfort, we strive to leave you with the best possible memories.

Of course, in the end, we did manage to photograph Mount Fuji. (笑)
